Lunch & Learn Series: International Trade – chance or pitfall for energy transition in Europe

Session 4

In this final session of our introductory series, we get down to the nitty-gritty. We want to shed light on the uncomfortable questions and not just look far afield. This session is about looking at domestic production and consumption patterns. What are the alternatives of a transición de las materias primas with regard to the consumption pattern of the domestic industry? How can world trade justice be combined with a resource transition? Is it about binding quotas, possibilities and limitations of domestic production? We want to provide insights into civil society visions on resources and trade, also considering the current trends of industry arguments regarding security of supply and domestic extraction.
