The global North consumes too many raw materials. This is what the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) points out in its \u2018Global Resources Outlook 2024<\/a>\u201c (March 2024). In particular, countries such as Germany are called upon to \u2018move towards global sustainable resource consumption and production\u2019 (UNEP). As PowerShift, we have been working on this raw material turnaround for many years. However, the debate on reducing material consumption is currently being conducted primarily as an environmental debate in the Global North. Together with our partners AEER<\/a> (Indonesia) and Alyansa Tigil Mina<\/a> (Philippines) PowerShift brings voices from the Global South to sharpen arguments, explore new perspectives and connect environmental protection with issues of global justice.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>
