The Strategic Projects are at the heart of the EU Regulation on \"Safe and sustainable supply of critical raw materials\"<\/a> (English abbreviation: CRMA). It aims to comply with the Regulation's benchmarks (including: Podcast #46<\/a>), including the development of recycling capacities and intra-European mining. As civil society organisations, we take a critical look at these projects, because they can undermine indigenous people, labour and human rights. But they can also be used to invest in recycling capacities instead of more mining. In the following background paper, we have therefore formulated demands and expectations as AK Rohstoffe, so that the strategic projects do not put the security of supply of the industry above democracy, human rights and environmental protection.<\/p>\n

Diese Publikation wurde von der European Climate Foundation unterst\u00fctzt.
