Travel guide: EU-Mexico – All power to...? investors.

An introduction to the EU-Mexico trade agreement
The renewed EU-Mexico trade agreement is expected to be the first to be voted on in the EU Council and Parliament in 2021. The EU and Mexico have been cooperating in a trade agreement since 2000. The travel guide "EU-Mexico - All power to...? Investors!" evaluates what the old EU-Mexico agreement has meant for the Latin American country and then analyses what the innovations in the updated trade agreement are. The information booklet critically examines the further tariff reductions, the opening up of Mexican procurement and the special complaints rights for corporations in order to put them in relation to the rights that people, the environment and the climate gain with the agreement.
A clear introduction to an agreement that has received little attention so far.
