Germany and the European Union want to become climate neutral as soon as possible. For this, the EU needs raw materials that are often underground in other regions of the world. To secure access to these raw materials, the EU uses its trade policy and concrete instruments, such as the trade agreements with New Zealand, Mexico and Chile. In this episode, Bettina Müller explains how important trade is for securing raw materials and how fair the agreements are.
